Just because Brady won more rings than Joe doesn't make him the GOAT. Joe never lost a SB, never even threw a pick in one.

Plus in Joe's era, defenders can literally clothesline you without drawing a penalty.

Yeah, that was Joe's toughest obstacle - injuries. That poor guy took so many tough hits, against guys like Lawrence Taylor. The league changed its own rules to help Brady, between the tuck rule, hitting the QB low etc.

I saw a quote the other day about Joe's wife telling the boys, who wanted to play football: "Look at your dad. Do you want to walk like that?" The obvious inference is that Joe is suffering from all those injuries.

At the beginning of the season, the discussion around the league was whether or not Brock Purdy deserved to be in Tier 2 of all QBs. Yesterday NFL.com placed him at #1 in Tier One, ahead of Dak, Mahomes, Lawrence, and Allen.

Funny thing is, Purdy has been playing like this his entire career. This isn't earthshaking news but it is earthshaking the the national media would recognize it.

...but let's wait to see if Seattle hands him his lunch.

I always shake my head when I hear some guy on TV start saying that so and so just broke the playoff record for whatever. Or baseball things like most hits, HRs, RBI etc. There are more playoff games now so there are more opportunities to accomplish this stuff. Reords are meaningless without context.

last year he played 9 games and mac looked downright heroic peeling himself off the playing surface and beating LA, that's part of the context of why brock wasn't regarded at the top, so the items to work on are simple, just play all the games and he has a great mvp shot, i think he's answered all the other questions it helps to have matchup wins all over the field, credit the FO for getting gold jackets at seemingly every position, like rb, fb, te, lt, wr, etc, but his speed playing the game is what makes this all go

so using DrL and 9moon logic, Sam Darnold is way way WAY better QB than Brock Purdy because Sam won a SB.

sam is a great credit to the niner org, shanny signed him it was a great signing. shanny said he's got the top of the draft tools he does, and he just needs a good situation. i think he has the most wins over the past 2 years, and he did that while team switching, stacked up a ton of dubs in seattle and minnesota, but he rebuilt his career in SF. now this is a bit of a weird season he got injured a few snaps into the season and he's still kinda getting back in rhythm and they have no running backs so we are playing them at the right time, just gameplan the whole thing around jsn

what sucks is that we need that elite defense. Imagine if we Brock had that 2019 defense. Brock got us the points but defense handed those points back and then some.

the coverage was the weak link in 2019 moseley was kind playing above his station and sherman was a bit washed and when push came to shove the D gave up 21 in Q4 in 2019 season, i think our secondary now is way better, lenoir, stout, mustapha are all good players

Sam is a decent QB, too bad we couldn't get a draft pick for him. I think Mac Jones is better than Sam, and I'm still hoping they can trade Mac for some decent draft capital.

Brock is way better than both Sam and Mac. This fanbase is lucky to have him as our QB.

Joe is the greatest for the reasons you stated.

I'm just glad he is getting the respect he is due.

Period.
